Gum Damar is a resin procured from Dipterocarpaceae family of trees. Most of the gums are produced by tapping the resin of the trees but it is not uncommon to find the hardened resin on the ground, ready for collection and processing. Gum Damar is commonly used in the making of incense, varnish, inks, paints, paper and others.
